Games, RPGs in particular, would be a lot better with rap music

No way. RPGs need music that provides a particular ambiance or "atmosphere" to the particular moment in gameplay. It's almost always cinematic, rap has no place in an RPG at least, as the nature of that music genre makes it impossible.

Anything is better than the music in JRPG's so I suppose I'd be ok with it. I always laugh like crazy when I see people talking about how good JRPG music is and that they put it in their MP3 players and listen to it more than regular music. Pretty awful taste that, IMO, makes them awful people.

Not a big JRPG fan myself, but alot of the old school ones had some real godlike music. Don't hate my brotha.

I consider taking a life less horrible than this idea.

Rap comes in all kinds of varieties, and Japan has already done a number of games, including rpgs with amazing immersive rap. While I don't think Rap should be the standard, RPG fans are definitely showing off their stuck in a box, simple minded logic with trying to entirely dismiss rap in the genre, especially when it's already existed in extremely strong soundtracks.

Why is one of favorite genres filled to the brim with simple minded tools?

I agree with this statement.

Someone needs to teach these JRPGs how to dougie.

Imagine this scene in Final Fantasy 8:

Replaced by this:

Would easily be the best Final Fantasy game in the series if they learned how to dougie

Persona 3 is a good example of how to do this right.
