Since 2 days ago ago I have been experiencing issues with my 120 gb ps3 slim. I have had it for over 2 years and 5 months. It has been getting very hot & dusty lately in these past few days. I was playing DEAD OR ALIVE 5 online and when it was loading it froze.(this happened to me like 3 times already) Then it would get the green light of death. When I turn it on it sometimes doesn't not read games idk why though. Every time I quit a game now it automatically shuts off (O_o).
I would try opening it up and getting the dust out. Use a can of air.
This, though it would be a better idea to take it to a third party PS3 repair facility to get a proper clean out. If you don't know what you are doing you can actually ruin your system by attempting this yourself.
The most common mistake rookies make is forgetting to ground themselves by touching a metal surface beforehand. If any static electricity passes to the circuit board of the PS3, you will likely end up with an expensive paperweight.
