Is the Little Big Planet series worth a try?

I don't plan on playing online or with friends i only plan on single player. Is the series worth a go?

Kinda. The thing about the game is the whole build and play others level. The story mode is fun but things only get really interesting with the create, share, play component. If you want a single player plataform there are probably better options like Ratchet and Clank, Rayman Origins, and hopefully the upcoming Sly. But yeah, Lbp is awesome, as long as you go online...

But that's exactly what LBP is. It's easy and childish. Also very floaty. Not bad, though.

Well, Courtney Gears didn't seem to mind.
88 Fingers Louie were a hardcore punk band. 88 Fingers Eddward was a nickname on Ed Edd'nEddy. Pretty cool reference.

I really enjoy both of them. Rayman Origins is good too if you haven't already tried it.

Agreed, it's very easy, childish and slow paced. If you only play SP offline you won't be getting your money's worth at all.

Go for Rayman Origins. The difficulty ranges from tricky to brutal and you can complete it solo.

Yeah, LBP is very easy. Even a lot of the better community levels are really easy.

Rayman Origins is the best platformer in a long time.

I wouldn't call LittleBigPlanet easy or childish. Some of the levels are downright difficult, especially if you're trying to ace them. It's one of the best new IPs this generation. I never play it with others, but thoroughly enjoy the campaign, the good community levels, and creating.

The downloadable Trine franchise is great too, if you like puzzle platforming.
