it wont be. atleast no more than it is now. theres always going to be people who dont know what there doing with the hardware or try to push every little bit out of it. next gen instead of frame rate issues at 720p or lower there will be fps issues at 1080p or higher. thats just the way things have always been.
Huh? There have always been FPS drops last gen. For example, whenever you summon something in FFX, the FPS drops drastically during certain portions of the summon. SW: KOTR was infamous for the amount of glitches it had and the massive FR drops [e.g. when you would use the Force Jump on an enemy far ahead of you, the game wouldn't be able to keep up]. --- "Fantastic baby." Part of the problem actually lies with the higher technical specs of the development versions of the consoles, they have more RAM (and possibly processing power) for debugging purposes only.
But this causes the problem where developers have to account for the lower spec consumer models, and sometimes they misjudge the amount of difference.
Just look at Sonic '06 and you'll know why. Running that above an SD resolution is horrific. --- We shall rise again to start anew. White FC: 0862-2660-4156 / 3DS FC: 2492-4470-1418 / White 2 FC: 4556-7836-2644
like i posted before this is a big problem for me too
When it happens (not sure about anyone else) i can't help but wonder is it my ps3 doing this to the game or is it just the game.
It's usually just the game. The development systems have higher specs, and sometimes they don't fully take into account the limitations of the consumer models. --- We shall rise again to start anew. White FC: 0862-2660-4156 / 3DS FC: 2492-4470-1418 / White 2 FC: 4556-7836-2644
