I could have sworn awhile back it was said that a Shenmue HD collection was actually in the works.

I would kill for a new Shenmue and/or a Shenmue HD collection, but sadly it's not gonna happen....


The series wasnt successfull at its time(partially due to Sega's terrible Dreamcast advertising policy)and now it has been dead for years.

The problem is that Shenmue was so long and drawn out, that you actually felt that you were living this guys life.

It had the potential of being the game equivalent of a TV series, but was cut short with an unfinished story. I'd love a Shenmue 3, but only if they could wrap up the story, without making it feel shorter than the first 2 games combined. It needs to be fleshed out, but most of all it needs to finish.

I'm not so sure.

SEGA closed most of their European offices from what I've heard (the ones responsible for localizing previous Yakuza games) and the person that translated Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4 no longer works for SEGA. Also, this:
