If there's one thing we can't buy, it's time. For those who play 1000+ hours...

Also TC who want's to welcome death ever? It is an inevitability. Not a house guest.

I agree 100%, TC. That said, gaming is a relaxing and enjoyable hobby. I'm currently getting a PhD in philosophy and working full time; in my spare time, I feel no guilt in playing a game now and then.

"The script of life is so unspeakably beautiful, because we know that Death looks over our shoulder." - Martin Buber (paraphrased)

To live authentically is to live in the knowledge that you are going to die, and to remain aware of that fact in every decision you make.

We re just animals and nothing more. Do you know many hours lions spend sitting on their asses? Or how many hours a dog spends licking his balls?

I dont regret the time I've spent gaming.

So you go around making decisions based off the fact that you are going to die? It's one thing to accept the fact that we are all going to die. It's another thing to welcome it.

I like this quote from Cowboy Bebop (as corny as it sounds/is)
"Do not fear death. Death is always at our side. When we show fear, it jumps at us faster than light, but if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently and then guides us into infinity..."

I didn't say I fear it. I accept it is inevitable. I just don't like it. It angers me too when I know some sea creatures who do nothing but eat swim and crap can live up to 400 years old meanwhile humans with all their intelligence and all the science can't expect to live for even a 1/4 of that time.
