Not looking for anything terribly deep... what I'm looking would actually probably be a cheap little "b" game that I'd suspect is easy to nab for about $5-$10.

I want something like the old Fighting Force... where the depth begins and ends at me beating the taste out of people's faces... also want to beef up my trophies a bit.

Anarchy Reigns is exactly what you're looking for. Its $30 but there's a lot of characters to choose from, has a decent campaign, solid multiplayer, and an amazing soundtrack.

Seriously, go get it if you like beat em ups.
What is faith then but persistent hope in the face of relentless doubt.
Now Playing: Anarchy Reigns, Far Cry 3, Torchlight 2, Final Fantasy 9.

If you're interested in something 2D, the Shank games are great downloads.

The have a really strong comic inspired look, a lot of over-the-top violence, and quite a bit of depth with weapons and abilities. They can be challenging on the hard difficulty, especially the original.

Mark of the Ninja put Klei on the map for a lot of people, but I actually think the Shank franchise is far superior.
