Get it. I'm not big on the art style/direction either, but the game is awesome. I'm REALLY enjoying Ni no Kuni so far, with nearly 20 hours put in so far. The quality of the game, graphics and everything else, is by and large way up there, and the character and specifically the enemy designs are very inspired and great looking. The story is simple in nature early on, but well done, which is good enough for me. And the characters are pretty cool, and Oliver is one of the better JRPG main characters I've seen in a long time. He's VERY likable, and honorable, friendly, outgoing, all stuff that you don't see a lot of, especially all together, and he's EASILY one of the best kid characters I've ever seen in a game. --- To the mattresses. There were late game twists that actually blew my mind. It felt good.
HUGE world map. A couple continents. TONS of secret areas. It's also much longer than Rising I am sure. So you get more bang for your buck. --- If the doors of perception were to be cleansed, everything would appear as it truly is-Infinite.
