Murder is worse than rape. I know people who have been raped that have had plenty of good days afterwards. However those who are dead can no longer have any days, good or bad. Some rape victims say that they'd rather have been killed. However that's just (understandable) emotion talking. Death (for all we know) is both unknowable and final. There's no real evidence that the dead are resting or at peace.
