I'm close to 10Mb, only Mothership Zeta done. I could start the final quest many hours ago but I decided to explore every area, get to level 30 then hunt all the SPECIAL bobbleheads.
I've only gotten a freeze here and there but nothing bad. I'm lucky I guess. I'm going to start New Vegas Ultimate Edition as soon as I finish FO3. I finished the vanilla version before starting FO3, I just can get enough of Fallout at the moment.

My game ran smoothly with the original Fallout 3. I discovered just about every location there was and had more storage than I needed. My save file was around 12mb. Everything was fine, and then I got the GOTY edition. But I managed to get through it.

ITT: If it doesn't happen to you, it doesn't happen. --- I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of ass. I'm out of gum too. I guess I'll just sit here.

im 11mb on NV 3rd DLC and it freezes or drops to 1-2 frames every 20 seconds and i clear the cache everytime. Whats your trick? --- Understand, Man is not a machine - he needs a surface, a purpose and a reason of being.

How is your FO:NV 12 MB save file treating you? (Assuming you have one)
My ones tearing apart my PS3 on a daily basis

My fallout 3 save file is close to 35MB.
At this point, the game does 1 of 2 things, and its 50/50 which happens. 1) Works perfectly fine with no issues. 2) Barely runs at all.
Reloading using fixes any issues, but I got the platinum, and logged in over 800 hours so I don't plan on going back.
New Vegas runs fine for me 99.5% of the time, I also got thr plat on it and logged over 1,200 hours into that.
Try going to Red Canyon for a bit of exploration and see what happens, instant frame-skip imminent
