Early 2014 for Europe?

#1The_DjokerPosted 2/2/2013 6:29:34 AM
Why are they delaying it for Europe? so they can shift imports to Europe? If PS4 is region free, what is to stop people from importing it?

The potential that it doesn't have a universal power supply

The potential of a step down converter failing mid game, and blowing the system

If it's early 2014 for Europe, then I can guarantee you that it'll still be coming no more than a month after the US/Japan launches. If PS4 launches in 2013 anywhere, you can bet it's gonna be right at the close of the year.

I don't mind waiting a couple of months but if its getting towards 3/4 months we are looking at the PS3 scenario again where if the Xbox is out I will get that instead. De ja vu the 360.

Please don't f this up again Sony.

I'm buying the Next xbox day 1 anyway because I feel PS3 has a lot more to offer 2014 and 2015 compared to 360, so I won't be buying a PS4 until very late maybe 2015 but I'm talking in general. It just smells of a backslap. I can understand the powersupply thing but cmon. Missing out on Xmas is silly.

Persona 5 Arena

I just realised something. If I import a US PS4 I'll be able to import and play Persona 4 Arena(If PS4 has BC). Judging by the pathetic Delay I'm guessing the Ps4 will be out before Persona 4 Arena in Europe.

But seriously, 720 is more than likely to come out before xmas in Europe. Missed opportunity for sony.

Let's not forget that at this point any suggestion of 2014 launch in Europe is a rumour.

The potential of a step down converter failing mid game, and blowing the system

Step downs are fairly simple, reliable devices (which is why they cost so much less than a step up converter). They're pretty much the most reliable part of any console setup that involves them.
