Question about repaired PS3 console with YLOD

#1kunejPosted 2/2/2013 7:06:43 AM
My PS3 had the YLOD so I took it to a person that does the repairs. After I got it back, the repairman said that he replaced the CPU. PS3 is now working but when I try to carry out "restore backup data" to my PS3, it says that the data is from another PS3, and not all data will be copied.

My question is - is it possible to replace the CPU and then backup thinks it is from another PS3?

Also before changing the CPU my firmware was 4.25 and now it is 4.11. Is this possible... or rather I have a suspicion that the repairman replace my PS3 with another.
Unfortunately I did not write down the serial number of my PS3.

Suggestions are welcome.=)
