The pacing of WRPG's is often pretty bad due to long winded lore dialogue

They really need to cut that down

That's why games like Demon's Souls/Dark Souls/Soul Sacrifice/DD that try to use the Western style work well because the pacing is better. No more long winded boring dialogue from NPC's about their life stories when you're just trying to buy an item..

In terms of writing though, jrps need better writers. Get rid of Watanabe for S-E for example. He sucks.

It does? I wouldn't know I haven't played it.

From what I understand it has a pretty serious story about the MC losing his mom.

You've played it? I know you're all about the JRPG's so I'd imagine you have...

Actually yeah, only played like 6 hours though bro.

That story is bad and the combat is boring.

Most RPGs have awful pacing.

Dungeon Crawlers seem to be an exception, since they don't rely on exposition.

Polite conversation should never include Politics, Religion or what constitutes an RPG.
Playing a game for it's story is like watching porn for it's story.

You don't even have your second character 6 hours into NNK.

JRPGs also need to get better art style. and more fun combat.

Both WRPGs, and JRPGs are good in their own rights.

But I like the lore. (most of it is in optional dialogue anyway so stop complaining)

Don't even care, just didn't bring it fast enough and the whole boy goes to magic land is played out.

It was an impulse buy on my part for being in the store, so feel free to ridicule me on that.
