Grinding comes with the territory for mon based combat unfortunately.

Other than those kind of RPGs, I can't remember the last RPG I had to grind on to continue.

I'd get the game if it weren't for the art direction (which yes, I know is one of the game's main draws). I can't stand Studio Ghibli's art style.

final fantasy is one of those games. In FF8 I had to collect 20 cards to get an item and it took like 6 hours to get them, so boring.

Final Fantasy probably has next to no grinding(the only exceptions being 5 and the 8-bit ones), 8 in particular, where gaining levels just makes the game more difficult.

I'm wondering if people even understand what grinding means anymore.

Grinding is rarely required at all in RPGs anymore unless you have a poor grasp of the combat system.

I'm 45 hours in, and have only grinded one time after a boss kicked my ass. But I didn't have to, I just needed to equip the right armor to be stronger against his element, and use a different strategy.

The game is great man.

Amazing RPG.

Everything about it is spot on, and even the cutesy characters and enemies, grow on you. As for the AI, i've yet to have an issue with it. We kick ass wherever we go
