If you've never played one before than I highly suggest playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. It's a remastered version of the original one that was on PSX.

If you're interested in the new TR, which is made by Crystal Dynamics, I'd recommend the other Crystal Dynamics games. Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. You get can get them all on one disc for the PS3. The older CORE series is undoubtedly the classic Tomb Raider, but I never liked them much.

Well the first one would be my first recommendation, but if you find the graphics a little too blocky for you, then go for Anniversary

Underworld is great.

edit:

i'm fine with anything (graphics, story doesn't matter much in games for me)
i'm looking for the gameplay&system
