Exactly! These entitled whiners have no idea how freaken hard it would be to make a game like that on today's HD consoles. They should all shut up and get a clue.....

....wait, what? Monolith Soft looks to already have a good amount of work done on a sequel to the insanely massive Xenoblade, and it's running on the Wii U? Well ****. Guess that throws our argument out the window then, doesn't it Sxmfct?

Overworld maps in the style of old FF or a ****load of other JRPGs, even several that have come out this generation isn't a super hard, time consuming process it's the stuff that makes up the areas you enter and even then at this point for a company like Square-Enix it shouldn't be such a massive undertaking.... The idea that SE uses that as an excuse is complete PR bull ****. If they were to do it to scale then yes and they'd be ****ing stupid but those over world maps were never even remotely close to being so. It was nothing more than a design or "creative" decision that some idea thought it'd be a good idea.

They didn't create a world map because that would mean there would have to be towns. Creating towns is too much work for lazy developers.
