Why did capcom let the onimusha series die?

I know dawn of dreams didn't do that well compared to the capcoms mind if it doesn't sell 6 million i guess its not worth the hassle.

They are waiting for nStigate Games to have some free time. Then they will give it to them to reboot.

Because Onimusha sucks?

Because those tentacle-loving drones at Capcom think "ooh itz not western nuff. Westernz only care bout pewpewfantasymedievilmultiplayerscifi".

Though I don't doubt that there'd already outsourcing an abomination of a reboot to someone unsuited like Atari right as we speak.

It still lives on...but not how many want it to, via Browser Games.

i dont want current-day capcom anywhere near the onimusha series. Dawn of Dreams was an excellent game, and I'd be satisfied with that being the final onimusha game ever.
