PSN has a sale on FF games and I was wondering if there is a difference from the ps1 games...Is there a reason to buy or stick with my ps1 game discs.

All of your PS1 game discs should work in the PS3, so there's not much of a need to buy them.

The only reason I could see is if you own a PSP/Vita, and would like to be able to play those games on there.

They're exactly the same thing. If your discs are working properly, then don't bother with the digital versions.

Preserve your ps1 discs, I guess? :p

Other than Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions and Final Fantasy Tactics (original), there's no difference. FFT War of the Lions has more extra contents and characters than the original FFT.
