I moved my PS3 to my SDTV but I can't get it to display in PAL60

All my other systems including the 360 have no problem displaying in PAL60, or NTSC on this TV.
I'm not sure what's up with the PS3, but it really makes my eyes hurt
Sure, I could just put it back on the HDTV where it's been for years, but I want it on the SDTV in the living room for the time being, PAL 50 hurts my eyes though.

I know my TV can do both NTSC and PAL60 easily, I play my SD consoles on it all the time.

i'm using my PS2's red white and yellow cables to connect it to the TV, they're the same as the PS3 cables, so that shouldn't be an issue.

you can't. And the flickering will stay there. These consoles aren't designed to be played on SD. I wouldn't be surprised if new consoles didnt even run in SD.

When the PS3 is off hold the power button briefly and you will get display options, it does not auto detect what tv you are using.

He's not talking about getting it to display, he wants it in 60hz. Which is not possible on PAL PS3 systems in SD.

Thanks
that sucks
but I guess I'll suck it up and get used to it

I moved it to my SD TV because all I play on PS3 now is Pick up and Play games, my PSN purchases or other retail stuff I have that I can just pick up, play for a few minutes and then play something else, so I put the PS3 with my old systems that are full of games like that.

I'll me moving it back to my HDTV/PC Monitor when Ni No Kuni arrives in the mail, the game looks great even in SD from what I can tell, but the flickering of the font kills my eyss and the font is too small for me to read in SD

Using RGB scart might help with that, picture is far clearer, rather than the blurry mess of composite.
