Yeah AC3 was the second most disappointing game of 2012 for me (RE6 being the first). I just hated Connor's entire character and how much the game overall was a jack-of-all-trades kind of experience. The series needs to go back to AC1 and AC2 where it's focused on being an assassin above all else. The hunting and the naval missions are neat and all but the core assassin experience was just completely butchered.

Gameplay wise it's easily the best. Story wise, probably AC2.

AC3 was my biggest disappointment of 2012. I got way hyped (even preordered, which I almost never do), only to be disappointed by it. They pretty much lost my interest right away with Haytham, and never really grabbed it again. Plus, I hated Connor's character.

Meh.

To be honest, I found the gameplay for Prince of Persia, Tom Clancy and ACIII boring. Haven't played the others so I'm obviously not going to comment on whether they're good.
