Will ps3 play burned blu ray discs?

In other words if I have a blu ray burner and I made back up copies on a blu ray disk, would it play? Thx guys

yeah

but some movies have cinavia which causes the audio to cut out

Probably but why? Why not just burn the blu-ray to the PS3 HDD or burn it to your PC's HDD and then use PS3's media server to stream them to the PS3?

Sony is big into DRM so it depends on the disk.

instead of wasting blank disc media why don't you just convert the movie to a media file, wouldn't that be much easier? there are lots of software out there that will do this for you.
