I voted PS2 but if my launch PS3 hadn't died, I would say PS3. It only did everything...

i think there is a question. ps1 has amazing rpgs, ps3 has great current gen games, psp has...um..homebrew....and ps vita is just geting its feet wet but its off to a good start as a handheld ps3.

Really PS2 is the only answer to me. It was THE console to own during its generation. If you did not own a PS2 then you were regulated to pretty much just first party Nintendo titles or Halo. If the Sony had maintained the exclusivity contracts that they had for Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, etc... then the PS3 could have but PS2 is my answer.

Hacked PSP can play PS1, GBC, SNES, NES and (IIRC) Genesis and Master System.

And it doesn't have a 100% failure rate like the early PS1 and PS2s did.
