Huge Dead Space fan. Just played demo for DS3. LOOOOLOOL!!!!!

Dead Space 3 demo is NOT indicative of the entire game.
The full game does have some portions that are more shooter oriented, but there is still LOTS of parts to the game that is identical to previous games.

STOP jumping to conclusions based on the demo.

Dammit, the more I read about DS3, the more it seems I'll just skip it. I love the first two games but it seems this game is just COD all over again.

Don't listen to these guys. This game has made me jumped more than any other Dead Space. (using turtle beaches which really helps)

^I'm pretty sure all they did was just compile a list of the blind bandwagon hate complaints into one post. I mean, really, the coop pacing ruined the game? It's trying to be like Gears? No atmosphere?

You're deluded if you think there's no comparison to be drawn with Gears. And really, you think waiting while your co-op partner uses the suit kiosk to change and upgrade or using the bench to craft, buy stuff from the PlayStation Store, upgrade, mess around with blueprints, sell stuff and then test weapons out before changing them doesn't kill the pace? Sounds more like you're the fanboy here, unwilling to accept any criticism regardless of whether it's subjective or factual stuff stated about the game, as if it's all lies and it's not possible for a true negative thing to be said about the game just because you like it.

No, I'm well acquainted with Gears and this is nothing like it.

You're also judging the entire game by the co-op mode. Try actually playing singleplayer.

wait. They're comparing this to gears? I've put hundreds of hours into the gears franchise and this is nothing like gears.

who remember whens ppl used to actually play the game they criticise? Its funny just how wrong so many of these complaints with dead space 3 have been around here....most are simply not true at all. From the drama with optional microtransactions where you dont even have to spend a penny for them yet ppl going appe ***** to the silly ppl claimng this game is all action or is a big step in a diff direction are so wrong its clear whos played the game and who hasnt lol.

Its also funny we never never here of all the other modes either, you know those modes that either make it brutally hard with almost no ammo at all, a mode that makes it pllay like the frst a mode that gets rid of all the new elements introduced etc etc, theres alot of diff modes catering ot many diff styles of play....yet we never hear this at all with the dramaqueens ever....now could that be cause many have no dea what they are talking aboout cause despite thinking they know what they are tlaking about....clearly they dont lol....

Pure hateful ignorance around here lol

the kicker to it all and what makes it so typical of GF nonsense.....certain ppl aree actually saying they are fans of the series and yet here they are having not even played the game ignorantly and wrongfully ripping it apart, fans my ass, you mean the typical ignorant GF dramaqueens who rip any and everything apart from anything but experience...

1. the human fighting takes up maybe 1/8 of the game, most of that towards the end segments. there not that big of a deal.
2. the game still has all those DS moments youd expect from the series only there more spaced out (the game is as long as DS1/2 combined)
3. the series did need a change of pace. you can only get so far with dark corridors and monster closets. the planet segments are better than youd think and actually offer more interesting gameplay moments(like more exploration)

I dont feel its a better EXPERIENCE as 1 or 2, but its still DS and if you like the series then youll like 3, just dont expect as tight of a package. While coop didnt need to be in DS its still fun and they do some pretty unique things with it.

I just read a review and the concept of the salvaging system sounds awesome. Now I really want it.

How large a role do enemies with guns play (both human/non-human)? I heard this was introduced in this game, and although some people might find it ridiculous, it's one of the easiest ways to kill the suspense in a horror game for me.

Not that big of a role. The vast majority of the game is all necros all the time. Even the necros that possess dead soldiers only show up a couple times.
