PlayStation 3

The last game that WOWED me was Bioshock cause I thought the atmosphere, story and gameplay were phenomenal. I need a new game, preferably an FPS to just captivate me. I'm asking for an FPS because I just finished playing several 3rd person beat em ups and I haven't played a good FPS in a long time. I like aliens, laser beams, and sci-fi themes.... really dislike CoD like games. I also like medieval/ancient Greek atmospheres like GoW and Demon Souls.

What games have WOWed you recently Gamefaqs?

OH and I'm looking to spend no more than 40... so brand new games are a no no!

I'd say wait a month and get Bioshock Infinite. I'm sure you'll have 60 bucks by then. Only FPS game that ''wowed'' me recently was Far Cry 3 but that's also 60 bucks.

I'd say go with Portal 2 or Batman: Arkham City. Portal 2 is just amazing, one of the best games of all time. Arkham City is also a great game and imo better than AA.

although it doesn't really fit into your requirements, you should try out Mirrors Edge, such a great game and it's around $15 so cheap enough to take a chance on it.
