Just like FF8, FF10, and FF13 fanboys. Terrible games with a small extremist cult following.

Except FF10 which is just purely overrated.

I know right! I have bought 3 games now that people on this board and the vita board recommended that were horrible.

Gravity Rush
Seriously this game was hyped like no tomorrow on the vita board. Forgettable story, Horrible controls and camera angles. I would only recommend this game to someone who wants to play a game where they flail around in the air like an idiot.

Red dead redemption
Better than GTA 4 according to this board. Worst R* game ever. Besides John Marshton no other character in this game is memorable at all. The world is a vaste dessert for the most part. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they like poker. I should of known though as generally the people who said this game was good said GTA 4 was terrible.

Just Cause 2
TOO BIG. That's all I can say about this game. It shouldn't take me 4 minutes to get to my next mission in a JET.

And with that I shall raise my flame shield. As it was these boards that recommended those games it shall be these board that defends them.

What, the thing I love about Red Dead is the memorable characters! Dutch, West-Dickens, and Ross especially. But the environment is the best. The way they did the music (fading in and out every 30-45 seconds, rather than constantly playing) and the sound effects made it one of the most immersive experiences ever seen in a game.

The only name you listed that I cared for/remember is West Dickens. I remember the music from one part where you run from one key mission to the next. That was cool but it wasn't prevalent throughout the game. And like I said, Dessert. I wish there was at least another town or 2 like the one at the northeast of the map.

What's funny though is even people who hated GTA 4 still know Niko and Roman Bellic by name. Even if they hated them they still remembered and recall who he is. With Red Dead It's not that I didn't like the characters it's just that they weren't memorable. When I think of Red Dead I only remember Jhon Marshton and the girl from the girl from the beginning. I don't even remember his son's name.

And this is one of the few games with a fake and real ending and the fake ending was better than the real one. The real one was cheesy as hell.

Of course these are all just opinions so it doesn't really matter. If I step back from my opinions and look at it I can see how others would like it easily. It just wasn't for me.

Wait, I love GTA4 also! (Although I can't remember any characters from it really besides Niko and his cousin, like you said). I just felt it had way too much comedy and I couldn't take it as seriously. It's why I'm not excited for GTA5 :(

Why so serious?

Sorry I had to :)

Is this a joke, or have people really forgotten about the concept of individuality? I mean, I saw it coming, but so soon?

People have to defend their purchase to convince themselves it was a worthwhile purchase. There's some sort of term for it, but I learned about the general concept in both psychology and anthropology courses.

Probably because there is no such thing as a universally bad game. Even a game as glitched and horribly made as Dragon Ball Sagas has fans, which means it's not universally bad, just critically.

i'm pretty sure superman 64 is a universally bad game.

So long as one person in the world enjoys the game, it isn't universally bad. I know for a fact that several kids enjoyed the game back when it was released and the fact that they can enjoy it means it's not impossible to be considered good (or fun for that matter). That's the magic of opinions, no one opinion is right until 100% of the human populate agrees with it.

Those were kids though, most likely they only liked it because Superman was in it, odds are those same kids wouldn't like it if they played it today.

Considering the game was made for kids to just play as Superman, that's not a bad thing. It wasn't set out to be game of the year. As for people going back to play it, they could still enjoy it, if they haven't played a console since. Most people can't go back and play N64/PS1 games without getting frustrated after playing PS3 games due to the horrendously bad gameplay (by today's standards) mechanics the games had.

ITP: Have not played the games, just going to jump on the bandwagon and call them terrible so I look cool in front of my internet friends.

Because uh...

Opinions?

I think GTA, Gears of War, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, etc, are all bad games.

Someone seems to enjoy them, though.

I'm noticing this with resident evil 6 and dead space 3. Is buyer's remorse at a all time high with these people?

Well, you see, for every opinion, there is an equal and opposite opinion held by someone, somewhere out there. This is called "life." When people grow older, become more mature, and have real-world experience under their belt, they develop coping mechanisms and other such things in order to deal with people who have different opinions than them, even if they're complete opposites of their own opinion. We call this "being an adult." Some people forget that people are entitled to their own opinions, and that if everyone had the same opinion, we'd have a very bland world, indeed.

And now you know.
