To my knowledge, there are about 30 or so live-action films based on video games, so I chose to pull just the top entries from Rotten Tomatoes, with the caveat of one movie per series (the highest ranked, so as to eliminate multiple entries for stuff like Resident Evil or Tomb Raider). Note that this doesn't take into account animated films, only live-action (with the exception of one CGI title because of the majority of Hollywood talent involved and because it was made to simulate live-action anyway).

I'm personally torn between Silent Hill and Final Fantasy.

Prince of Persia was a decent movie on its own. If I really cared about how the relationship between the games and movie was only cursory, I'd probably hate it.

LOL It's obviously Silent Hill, but DOOM was not bad as well, hahahaha I like how it was based on Doom 3=)
