So why did Nintendo backstabbed Sony?

I know Nintendo and Sony was suppose to work together and Nintendo back off at the very last minute. But what exactly happened though, why did Nintendo decided to back off at the last minute? Who's fault was it?

It was a question... My teacher in high school once said that there is no such thing as a bad question.

Well there is. There is also a bad answer, because she said yes to the question of if she should not teach you anything.

That really does not follow any of the other "Project PlayStation" articles that I've read before. Yes Sony were dragging their feet which led to Nintendo approaching Phillips and a "duel development" path, but twist in the story has always been the in the way eastern business practice puts the emphasis in their "honour" clauses of contracts. When Sony found that Nintendo went behind their backs they breached the agreement, leading to Sony walking away with all of the jointly developed tech and the name included.

It was not really some sneaky lawyers and their clever wording of their contracts, it was just a different way of business.

There is if you are in gamefaqs. The bad part of your post wasnt the question itself but the biased opinion embedded in it... it wouldve been decent if it were "why did sony and nintendo split ways during snes cd development". Make your teacher proud...
