Reccommend some good action or RPG games ?

Im seriously burned out on multiplayer and "LEVEL UP YOUR GUY" shooters. What Im looking for is just a good sit down and play and get into the story type game. No open worlds, no major leveling and skill trees (I cant play Skyrim for that reason, worry too much about skills instead of fun... im OCD in a sense)

Borderlands 2 was pretty, but didnt work for me. CoD Black Ops 2 was ok, but I could care less about multiplayer.

I was looking at Dark Souls or possibly Kingdom of Amalur. To give an idea of what types of games I like, I can play Dead Rising 2 for hours.

Amaular and Divinity sound like what you want.
Though they are both semi-open world and have small skill trees.
