If you don't talk to any NPCs and just walk around you get 100% gameplay

The game isn't any good, IMO, but the Yakuza games tend to be very story heavy

There's usually a lot of action, but there's a lot of dialogue and exposition, too

The game has a lot of cutscenes, but it as a good amount of action too, so it's well balanced overall. I asume that that you are in Akiyama's chapter 1 or 2. Both are story focused specially the first 1. Upon reaching chapter 3 you will start to play more and Saejima's chapters are a lot more action oriented.

That's at the very beginning of the game, you've yet to even switch characters. Don't only do quests there are a lot of other things to do like batting cages, majongg, hostess, various key finds. Etc etc etc.

Yakuza is an RPG if you don't like the talking parts you're in for a long ride.

It gets better the further you get. It's quite slow in the beginning, both story and action wise.

We call that the intro. How about you play further before whining.

Also, 4 is sadly one of the lesser titles in the series. Although Tanimura is fun as ****.
