As long as they sell, it I'll buy it day one. Btw I seriously doubt PS4 will be BC or even used disc locked.

Versus XIII is coming in 2014, GTA5 will be awesome, and PS4/Xbox 720 is coming in Dec. Lightning Return will be super awesome and I don't care what you think!

only IDIOTS buy on day one

but then,i have to thank them for being console testers :D

cant wait for slim:)

Lol what? Just because we have fate that this console will be x10 more powerful than PS3 we are automatically "idiots".
Ps4 is no longer just games. It's a media center. I can do many thing. The thing I'm looking forward to is PS Home. Clearly I will get some crazy awesome stuffs that later folks will never get. Also we are your "testers" as you said. Btw these systems do have a warranty so I'm not buying anything to get it fixed since there will clearly be some problem. Also the rumored launch titles are actually looking better than some others. I don't see how CoD will work on PS4/Xbox 720 because of how the system will perform alongside PS3/360. I probably won't even buy CoD lol.

people wait to buy the console until games come out
devs don't make games because nobody buys the console
people cry about how there is no games on console

sounds about right

Full BC through use of discs without need of an internet connection (external addon that can be plugged into the system will be fine as long as it's readily available and affordable. Keeping old systems don't count since they will break over time, and I don't want to buy a used PS2/PS3.) Also, stop trying to fight used games by taking stuff away from consumers just for buying used for their own exclusives. (Online passes, DLC codes, and used game blocking is highly unwelcome. The last one of those three is illegal in Europe, by the way.) No constant online (sorry, I used to have better internet. But that was before an accident that their insurance refused to cover shut them down.) If they can do this, I'll be more inclined to buy the console as soon as I can. If not, I'll probably just avoid it.

$300 price and BC makes it day one for me. Actually, the better scenario rather than BC would be it getting around 5 games I'm interested in at launch.

BC with actual physical discs and a price under $450 will be my selling point.

What about when your PS4 dies and you now have lost 4 generations worth of game data? I justhave killed your argument. If you want to play old games, keep your old systems. If you need backwards compatibility to buy a PS4 and you are going to play enough old games to make it worth your while, then you probably shouldn't have bought a PS4 in the first place. The small amount of time and space you'll save by owning a Swiss Army knife console will be overshadowed by how much more it would cost and how much harder it will hit you when it dies.

Backwards compatibility is such a worthless thing to care about. I want a new console so I can play lots of old things on it? Huh?

It's all moot though because there is a zero percent chance that the PS4 will play PS2 or PS3 discs.

Isn't the Vita still $249 & $300 brand new?
I don't think Sony's next gen system will be the same price as their current gen hand held. If there was a price drop on the Vita, u can take me out back n beat the crap out of me.

Anyway, I'm getting it day one regardless.
