Should they get rid of dlc for good or is it a bad idea?

They should keep it but they sould limit item pack/ map pack/ skins style DLC or at least drop the price on them.

Nah dlc is good, it makes it so an ultimate edition comes out for 1/5th the price of the dlc.

Big expansions, nothing else.

It's still pretty successful working this way on PC. Small maps / new guns / different outfits are all just free mods on PC.

The only DLC worth paying for on PC is when something is released from the developer that's near the size of the game already. Otherwise you can just get it in a mod for free and most of the time, the mod does it better.

If they remove dlc i will quit gaming.
People that want dlc gone are poor people that can't afford it.

So now DLC supporters are elitist as well as ignorant

DLC is a method of corporate profiteering. Will you buy into it?

I don't mind DLC. They don't force you to buy it. I haven't bought a single map pack for Call of Duty, because I think they're complete rip-offs, for example.

DLC should only be for bug fixes.

DLC and game patches are two completely different things though...

@D_Rich_King
You don't have to buy it. The game you bought was sold as intended to you for a complete experience. DLC just extends that experience IF you choose. Nothing wrong with options. But if you want to be insulting about it, go ahead. It just proves who has the worse argument.

The only difference I see is that game patch dlc is free.

Remember when you got the full game when you bought it. And later down the road there was a player's choice/greatest hits for cheaper? Those were the days.

In case you were blissfully unaware the video gaming industry isn't doing too great.

Less DLC means less profit means less games.
