The future is all about social games. If a game doesn't have multiplayer it's not worth making---how developers have started thinking since PS3. And now it's showcased more than ever.

It's ALL about being social. That's the core (other than being moveis and pewpew ofc).

Anyway that's why JRPGs will die out soon enough. They are for loners. They are soley single player experiences and in our increasingly connected lives that's a very bad thing.

Now do you understand why SNES and PS1 was the last time RPGs were big? The systems were very limited in connectivity. That's the only way that particular genre could dominate.

JRPGs will continue being made on the 3DS and WiiU. As long as Atlus and MonolithSoft is around then there will still be good JRPGs to play.

Very niche and irrelevent.

I can guarantee you never again will an JRPG sell more than 6 million.

We're all nerds who don't care about the social aspect. It'll fade
Nobody cares about your system specs.

The reason game companies worry about social is due to its growth as a entertainment industry as well as fending off its negative publicity.

Its important to know that this will continue to grow as will the attention the industry gets so they will continue to advance with in the modern world.
