How to transfer saves to new PS3

#1SkaterUBPosted 2/21/2013 12:34:05 PM
So I got a new PS3 and wanted to know how to transfer all content over to the new one. I heard you can just use an ethernet cable to transfer everything. If it's true, how do I go about it?

If not, how else can I do it?

It's true. Use the Data Transfer Utility found in the System menu.

Or get yourself a Plus trial, transfer them to the Cloud, and to the new PS3.

Come on, at least attempt to look it up.

I keep having the same problem.

It says my PS3 is either off or doesn't have an ethernet cable connected. Both are definitely connected, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

1.copy your saves from your old ps3 system to a usb drive
2.sign in your account on your new ps3 (must be online for this to work)
3.copy and paste saves from your usb drive to your new ps3 system.

I want all of my content transferred. Not just save files.

I ran into this problem before. Try a crossover cable.
