Never been to PS Home but I got the 10$. I wonder if it has anything to do with contacting Sony as I did contact them one time about a psn card that was American and I was in Canada.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. If Sony would have announced the 10$ thing as a random draw, then I would have no issue with not getting it, since it would be just luck. But apparently the ones who got the 10$ got a message saying it's given to loyal Sony customers... and that's a slap in the face to the loyal customers like us who didn't get it.

I would think the easiest criteria to go by is your user level ... i.e. amount of trophies. Because trophies = time spent playing games in a majority of cases.

It's not really about the money. If Sony had said it was random, some people would be buttsore but it would have gone away by now. The fact that they said it was linked to "loyalty" is the issue here. People are trying to find out what exactly caused them to be deemed more or less "loyal" than others, and some truly loyal Sony customers didn't get recognized and the implication that they were somehow deemed unworthy by some measure is the irritant. There'd be just as much backlash/uproar if rather than sending out money they sent out some unique avatar or something.

i have way more trophies then both of my friends that got it combined, so i doubt thats it

being a member of this board, I believe i can safely say that no matter what Sony said their reason was, people would be complaining at this very moment.

regardless of the reason, some people got it, some didnt get over it. for all we know they could be counting how many times someone went to the psn store, or how much time spent online gaming, or you had to buy something on a certain day or a particular time, or heck maybe it was just random. crying about it now isnt going to change it.

I didnt get the money, didnt know they were doing it until people here complained about it, but its no big deal. its not like i put forth some kind of effort to get it, i didnt enter a contest or anything so oh well.
