How many PS3s can one put their PSN ID on?

I know it used to be 5 but I've heard it's now like 2 or 3 max. I'm worried if my current ps3 breaks then I'm SOL and will have to make a new ID. I've had 3 ps3s now because 2 broke and I had to send to Sony....never knew about deactivating accounts.

This means I would lose ALL of my online passes, trophies, PSN purchases,etc....

You can put your PSN on as many as you want, but licenses will only be active on two PS3 systems.

If your PS3 breaks, don't worry, you can reset the licenses on the SEN website once every 6 months.

It's all good :)

you mean sharing?, well they made it only 2 PS3s

so if your brother has a PS3 and has DLC or full game he has you can sign in to your

PS3 with his info and download everything he has.

And what's the implication of resetting the licenses? Do I lose everything I download?

No you just reactivate your account on the PS3 that's it which is log on, account setting, then system activation, PS3, and activate.

I'm on the SEN website now under manage my account and I see the 3 ps3s that are activated under my psN ID but how do I reset the licenses? Also I don't think you can deactivate account unless you're actually on that particular ps3....

I'll have to try and find this. I need to do this for an old broken ps3. Care to share how you did it?

www.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com and log into your account (same email and pass as your PSN ID). Then go to manage account and you can deactivate everything.
