So many people are hating on FF7 it's ridiculous...

Most of the haters a wannabe hipsters, but so many people try to sound cool by bashing it that I would find it more hipster for someone to actually love it and say it's the greatest game ever than to bash it like every gamefaqers. Does anyone else get that feeling?
Sunshine is overrated...

Saying it's not that great isn't hating on it.

I cringe when someone misuses the word hipster, but that's most FF7 haters in a nutshell.

Not really it's not that great of a game. It's good but I much preferred Legend of Dragoon.

The people who praise it are the hipsters.
I am Mogar, God of Irony and The Devourer of Topics.

What if I hate the game's fanbase? You gotta admit that it has some of the worst fanboys out there.

People are so far up that game's ass it's ridiculous. Idk where you're seeing all this hate.

The only reason it gets so much praise is because, for the large majority of today's gamers, FF7 was their first experience with an RPG. It's much like RE4 and Action Horror in that respect. They're both half-decent games, but because they "broke people's cherry" (so to speak) their merit is often blown way out of proportion.
