Just taking the most well known franchises. I doubt many people know Crysis series. Well.. not as much as the 3 i've listed anyway. And i havent really looked up Crysis 3 yet so i dont know if its doing good or bad.

RE6 easy, at least with the other two they were still true to their genre (although one took most of the fun elements of said genre and the other dumbed it down)

Survival horror and action don't mix as they are completely opposing ideas!! When will publishers realise this. You want an action game then make a dam action game! Don't dilute a fantastic game series trying to pander to people that aren't fans.

Well if you google RE7, i think some guy from capcom said they know about the problem from the sales and RE7 will be totally different to RE5 and 6. Lets hope they wont mess up again.

By all accounts, all of these were technically profitable, so really, you could argue none failed. Although two of them "underperformed in relation to expectations," but that's not saying much considering that they still sold literally MULTIPLE MILLIONS.
