Just got Code Veronica HD. Damn this gen has spoiled me.

It's so hard compared to today's games. I died in it. Twice. And lost 20 minutes of progress each time. There are just so many more enemies than I have ammo, and so far I've found 4 health items in 2 hours of play.

What happened to games like this? I can completely understand that they're not for everyone, but surely one or two devs could still try and put out titles that actually demand something from the players?
I miss that feeling of having no health, no ammo, and a dozen or so enemies between me and the next save point. It makes me feel like I've achieved something when I manage to get there by the skin of my teeth.

No wonder people love D Souls so much (myself included), as it's pretty much the only game this gen to give players that feeling.

Nope. Today is mostly about appealing to people who never play games.

I actually find Code Veronica incredibly easy. Ammo and health are everywhere. Plus it's easy to shake zombies off without getting bitten.

And the knife is incredibly over powered. You can make a zombie lunge at you and quickly swipe at it's legs and it'll instantly fall over.

Yes, but you're probably not stupid. For some reason I'm always worried I'm going to run out of items, so I pretty much refuse to shoot or heal, and I'm really crappy with the knife at the moment.

I'm just going to keep replaying the first hour or two until I can do it with no damage.

Try using the knife, it's surprisingly awesome in Code Versonica. Aim for zombie legs.

CVX is the hardest of the RE's but overall its really easy (basically all of RE is easy and CVX just happens to be least easy but still easy).

I've beaten it like 5-6 times now. All you need to do is make considerable use of the knife in the first 30% of the game so you don't run out of 9mm and Bow arrows. Once you reach Chris's part, go trigger happy until the end of the game.

you did find those dual pistols in the little house in the beginning right? yeah with those, the handgun, and later the bowgun i think i had enough ammo to kill everything twice. i never touched the knife.

make sure you check everything in rooms cause there is a lot of ammo that is basically hidden.

I thought CVX wasn't that great, btu atleast the music was good.

The only hard thing about this game was that if you run out of herbs or didn't get some of the weapons, you ere pretty much screwed. And oh those long arm monsters.
