However, Europe is in a different BD region, so region-locked European movies won't play in an American PS3.

I know the movies will work because the discs are region free but the extras are supposedly in a PAL format based on the review. I'm using an HDMI cable for my video, will the extras work on my PS3?
I also have a regular Blu-ray player in another room that also uses HDMI. Will that player play the extras?
