Jon_GodPosted 3/15/2013 2:01:53 AM | The big thing that bothers me about that game, going back, isn't the graphics....
It's the lack of analog control. --- PS3 Fan, but doesn't mind other systems. PSN: Jon_God, XBL: Ernie the Bear http://savemgo.com/forums/ |

El_ZaggyPosted 3/18/2013 6:22:02 AM | Agreed, the graphics, the music, the story, stereotypes, combat mechanics, materia system, it all feel very old and dated a lot. Still not understanding how people think it surpassed FF6. Even when FF7 got out i was trying so hard to like the game, FF6 was just so awesome, it didnt even starch the surface of it. but in any case, FF7 became sadly a huge success and destroyed FFs forever |

Killingjoke_666Posted 3/18/2013 8:38:01 AM | haha yeah the graphics are hideous, have you ever played Parasite Eve? I remember being mesmerized when it came out, holy crap what a jumbled pile of mess now --- Otto: Wow! I had Mustard?! |
ZeusthagodPosted 3/18/2013 8:44:47 AM | Yeah I can still play ff8 and ff9 to this day but ff7 just looks way too bad these days to play again. --- A wise man told me "don't argue with fools" |
TheCyborgNinjaPosted 3/18/2013 8:47:36 AM | The character models looked like total crap when the game was new. It hasn't aged badly at all. --- Jack Thompson is so disbarred, he's not even allowed to practice the law of gravity. - Kotomo |
VoxwikPosted 3/18/2013 8:51:58 AM | It's funny having grown up with the Nintendo and Super Nintendo (and even my brothers/sisters' Intellivision and Atari) seeing topics like this.
Graphics do not "age" to me. They are what they are and I like them for what they are. I remember being absolutely blown away by the leviathan summon in the FFVII demo.
On a different note though I find it interesting how much better the game music abilities of the SNES-PS1 are compared to their graphics. I'm not sure if the SNES was considered a powerhouse for its music ability back then, but that aspect sure does hold up way better compared to the graphics if you compare to modern games. |
