It seems like atelier ayesha is getting average reviews

lol people actually think that reviewers purposely give JRPGs low reviews? Can't accept that most JRPGs this gen are average or bellow average.

Otherwise Ni No Kuni wouldn't have gotten such good reviews, otherwise most JRPGs from PS2 era wouldn't have gotten the good reviews that they have.

NISA games other than Disgaea are weak

This is my biggest issue with most JRPG people.

It's trash and It's become too predictable for these games to be complete crap.

a stale boring game in a dead subgenre.

The Atelier series is generic Japanese garbage with the same dumb formula.

Better score than Rorona and Meruru but less than Totori, lol.

Great reviews no matter.

Don't really care the Atelier series to be honest. Of so many jrpgs, we get to have all of these Hyperdimension Neptunia/Atelier series/Mugen Souls crap on our PS3.
#19SolidKnightPosted 3/15/2013 3:12:10 AM
The game is just uninteresting.

The only reviews that will matter are RPGfan and RPGamer- who will give the game its fair shake as a jrpg. Everywhere else will just give the usual mainstream game reviewers "biased against anything overtly Japan" spin on things.

Yeah, ok...
RPGfan and Gamer are too nice to most JRPG.

Keep reading IGN/Gamespot then, they'll correspond more to your mindset.

That said- both RPGfan and RPGamer will crucify bad JRPGS. They even call out games with overt and creepy fanservice. But they don't have that jrpg = Japan = anime = tired weaboo crap filter that the mainstream likes to give where they spend half the review going on about how cliche everything is (yet the latest shooter starring some muscled lunkhead gets a free pass). They will give a low budget niche game or series (like the Atelier games) a fair shake even if it isn't coming from one of the big boy publishers sending checks (for advertising of cours ;) ) and swag their way.

Heck, RPGamer gave Ni No Kuni only 3.5/5 (70%) when a lot of the mainstream press drooled over it as the savior of jrpgs and gave it a 9/10, so don't say they are too nice.
