My friend gave me his 30 PlayStation Plus free trial. I was wondering if I downloaded any game at a reduced price or for free, do I lose said games? Or have an option to renew or pay full price? How does it work?

Discount games you keep. Free games can't be played once the trial expires, but can be played again if you renew.

If you purchase a game, be it at full price or at a discount, it's yours. This shouldn't even be something that has to be questioned. No company in their right mind would pull access to a game you spend money on, simply because you purchased it while being a part of a paid membership.
The free games you loose access to, because they're part of the subscription.
