Dead Space 2 - "forced" multiplayer....single-player game was awesome
Uncharted 2 and 3 - "forced multiplayer"...single-player games were awesome
Tomb raider - "forced multiplayer".....single-player game is awesome
GOW: A - "forced multiplayer"....single-player game is awesome
Mass Effect 3 - "forced multiplayer"......Single-player game is awesome

These are just the ones I can remember. Sorry, but in terms of history and "forced" multiplayer modes....they haven't done any damage.

Tomb Raiders mp waaas pretty forced though

but the single-player is still awesome as hell, so.....what?

Mass Effect 3 can be debatable if you are in the hate bandwagon. It's the only way to get the best ending

Irrelevant. Those games would have been superior if more effort were focussed on the single player and diverted from any multiplayer.

Crystal Dynamics said no single player DLC for Tomb Raider but still released aim boosting microtransactions.

I'm actually ok with this. This and Tomb Raider signal maybe we can finally start having complete stories instead of pointless crap wedged in between chapters, chapters completely left out, or broken endings that get "elaborated" on with DLC.
Infinite almost here!

You can't just say "If there was no multiplayer, the singleplayer would have been even better and longer". Maybe those games would have just come out quicker and been exactly the same in terms of singleplayer. Plus, there is such a thing as a game being too long. Uncharted or Tomb Raider or God of War being 30 hours long would be terrible.

99.9% of singleplayer campaigns are released complete. Add-on content doesn't complete a game. It "adds on" to it which is exactly what it says.

No matter what the argument is, the single player would have had more resources. It could have been more fleshed out and polished, and even if the devs decided the single player was perfect and needed no more added, the money, time and resources would still be banked by the developers for other, single player projects, as opposed to injecting it into pathetic, tacked-on bro-nline and bro-op.

You're right. All online game features are tacked on and only dudebros don't want to play alone 100% of the time.
