I didn't find that Shadows of the Damned had much of any horror in it in terms of what defines as "Horror.".
It is more of the comical kind than the scary kind.

Its like an arcadey RE5 with toilet humor.

^ This actually sums it up well, imho.

RE4 style not RE5

RE5 had co-op and annoying Sheva A.I. remember?

I loved it. Last summer I picked it up on a whim and loved every minute of it. I liked each weapon and sub weapon and ALL were used in different ways unlike most games where its apparent very early on which " main" weapon is gonna be used 98.5 percent of the game. Story was funny and unique. Some cool boss battles.

Surprisingly was one of my favorite games this gen.

Feel like a less polished RE4 to me, less intense, less customizations, weaker gameplay, shorter but with more humors behind it.

If RE4 is a 9.2 game, then SotD would be somewhere around 7.5. Definitely worth it in my book.

It's about as much horror as Evil Dead 2. Only dorks think Horror HAS to be scary. If that were the case I'd have stopped watching Horror movies long ago.

The game also has a Cannibal Holocaust reference at the beginning.

I've seen the future, baby: it is murder
