It's another example of video games losing their identity and focusing instead on movie-style action.

It's not a stealth game anymore. It's action based with simple stealth sections.

The same thing has happened to Counter-Strike, Tomb Raider, Ninja Gaidan, Hitman, etc. These series have lost their identities to become "Movie-like" or what the developers call "Streamlined" to appeal to dumber crowds.

You really don't understand why people don't agree with you? The world doesn't revolve around what you think, that's why.

Why don't you try and create a decent discussion instead of insulting people and creating yet another flame war.

The game has changed a bit and is therefore terrible and not worth anticipating, or so goes TC's bastardized logic.

Because it looks fun. This may sound crazy to you, but I can actually enjoy a game in a series even if it is very different from it's predecessors.

I even enjoyed Conviction! I know, right?! It wasn't what I'd normally expect from the Splinter Cell series, and I would of certainly enjoyed something closer to Chaos Theory more, but ignoring that and taking it as a game itself? It was great fun, which is really the only real qualifier I need in games I play. The recent video they released seems like Blacklist will be trying to move back towards more traditional SC gameplay too, which is a good sign.

- Because they like the series.
- Because their view is different from yours.
- Because they put their money where they want it.
- Because they can.

Lets reserve judgement till you know you actually experienced the game.....I know I know at GF using experience to jdge a game is such an alien concept.....ridiculous thought huh?

What happened to Counter Strike? And I'm not a huge fan of the rebooted franchises, doesn't mean I'll write games off completely. And certainly wouldn't phrase it "why the hell are people..." as if to imply their opinion is of less worth than mine.
