How do you feel about the "swimming" portions in games? Do you like them? Do you hate them? Do you even care?
God of War 1 Mario 64 Devil May Cry 1 Metal Gear Solid Resident Evil 6
I, personally hate them. They make me feel so bored and sleepy. They change the gameplay significantly...
Hell, I'd rank swimming portions in games up there with "escort missions" in terms of things I hate in games... --- Sony should make a Blu-Ray less PS3. (4 min later) PS3 games are on Blu Ray disks? Wow, this explains everything. - videogamer1030
I don't mind them as long as A) They are done right (good controls, no air that runs out too fast, etc.) and B ) if the area you swim through isn't confusing (it's easy to get lost when swimming in a game). --- Sac City Gamer - http://www.saccitygamer.wordpress.com @SacCityGamer ~ www.facebook.com/SacCityGamer
They're usually a nice change of pace, and while there's some that I've encountered that irritating as hell for the most part i don't mind them. --- PSN: dragonlibrarian plays; Awesomenauts, Skullgirls, Jojo's HD, SSFIITHDR, SFIII: OE, MVC2, AH3, KoF 94/95/96/XIII, VF5:FS, P4A, GGXXAC+HD, DS:R, CS:GO, UTIII
I don't usually mind them but they almost always feel forced. And MGS2 ruined them for me because everytime I finish a swimming segment I feel the urge to shout out "We've managed to avoid drowning." That line kind of epitomizes my feelings towards swimming segments.
I hated them in God of War 1. Even though there was unlimited air, I still felt it was so long and boring...Incredibly glad they removed almost all of it in all the God of War games.. --- Sony should make a Blu-Ray less PS3.
