So, my PS3 no longer reads Bluray movies, or games ...

I bought it 3 years ago. To my knowledge, the warranty only goes out to a year. Am I boned? I haven't the money to replace it, and I'm not even sure if I'd want to at this point.

Oddly enough, the drive will still read DVDs. Anyone have any advice? Should I just crack it open and see if the lens is dirty?

Same thing happened to mine when the blu-ray diode went out after two years. I had it replaced for $99 bucks via gophermods.com.

sony blu ray lens is weak. you can only replace the lens, not fixing it or cleaning it.
