I always go with gameplay but if there is a good story its a plus.
Quite honestly, I'm usually the opposite. If it's got a good, intriguing storyline, I will likely look over boring or generic gameplay (such as Spec Ops: The Line).
However, there are times where the gameplay does hinder the experience to the point where I'd rather just read a summary of the story at most (Final Fantasy 13/13-2, for example) --- PSN ID: Troll_Face_Flame (formerly armyflame) X360 gamertag: ArmyFlame9 The more people post on GameFaqs, the more I lose faith in humanity.
Far Cry 3, rotten story, fun to play. The Walking Dead, great story, point and clicky on the zombie heady gameplay. So game dependent. --- I, for one, welcome our new feral ghoul overlords! (call me PD -it's easier)
