Well do you want an RPG or one of the best story FPS games to come out in a long time?

JRPG, not RPG. Granted, Ni No Kuni is quite decent given the "genre", but it simply doesn't compare to any game that's remotely GOTY worthy.

NNK is longer and has more replay value. Infinite is short and sweet but once you beat it there's not really any replay value. Buy NNK and rent Infinite or wait for price drop.

Did someone just correct me on calling it an RPG? Unfortunately, it's an RPG.

NNK is alright, but really REALLY bland.

It has no convincing hook. You care so little about the characters that you get taken out of the game entirely. Combat gets boring after you realize all of your familiars are basically the same. The story takes a nosedive after the content from the DS game ends. And the music gets old. It is more fitting a BETTER game.

I haven't played infinite but the first Bioshock game was excellent and Infinite was done by the same team.

Ni No Kuni had a fun combat system and I enjoyed collecting the various monsters but that was about it. The story was cheesy the most of the side quests were awful.

I'd go for Bioshock.
