Never played AC. Ezio Trilogy good place to start?

I've heard that AC Revelations includes the first game in the series, but I haven't been able to find whether this still applies to the Ezio Trilogy which includes II, Brotherhood and Rev. I think that I would like this series because it is history related from what I understand, and it looks pretty fun.

Should I just skip 1 altogether? Get 3 after I finish those? Don't know where to start on this series.

You won't miss out on too much if you skip out on AC1. The gameplay is the weakest in the series and the story is short. I would suggest starting with the Ezio Trilogy and watching an AC recap on YouTube.

My advice is at least give one a chance. The story is pretty interesting, the time period is good, and the bosses very identifiable. The biggest thing is that you'll GREATLY improve the amazing additions they put into AC 2. When you start playing that, you'll be surprised by how much they changed and upgraded and it was almost entirely in a good way.

AC2 has a quick summary of AC1, so he will at least get the idea what happened.

Well, does the copy of Revelations in this still have AC1 in it?
